Dennis Dreyer Municipal Harbor
The working heart of Port A. Charter docks, waterfront restaurants, fish-cleaning tables, and almost every boat that leaves for the Gulf each morning.
Port Aransas Marina Guide
The marina and harbor area is the working heart of Port Aransas — charter boats, commercial fishing, waterfront dining, and boat slips. If you're interested in fishing, boating, or waterfront living, this is the area to know.
What's at the Marina
- •Deep-sea fishing charter operations (half-day, full-day, overnight)
- •Boat slips and marina services for private boats
- •Waterfront restaurants and bars
- •Dolphin and nature tour boats
- •Kayak and paddleboard rentals at some locations
- •Bait and tackle shops
The Island's Other Marina: Island Moorings
The city harbor isn't the only place to keep a boat. On the bay-and-channel side of the island, Island Moorings Marina & Yacht Club is a private, wind-protected marina with slip rentals from daily to yearly, diesel and non-ethanol fuel, 24/7 pump-out, and a stocked ship store — bait, tackle, ice, and cold drinks. It's also where slip reservations are handled, and dinner is solved: The Phoenix restaurant sits right on site. The marina anchors the Island Moorings neighborhood — canal homes where nearly every backyard has its own dock. Note the 8-foot mean depth in the basin and Piper Channel; mind the tides on the way in and out.
For Property Buyers
Marina-area properties appeal to people who want waterfront access, a boat slip, or proximity to the harbor. Properties here range from condos to waterfront homes. Flood insurance and elevation are important considerations for any waterfront purchase.
