Old Town Port Aransas
Old Town is the original core of Port Aransas — the area around the harbor, ferry landing, and main commercial streets, where most restaurants and shops are concentrated. It's the most walkable part of the island, with an honest island caveat: "walkable" here means a few blocks. On the streets closest to Alister, dinner and morning coffee are on foot; from anywhere else, the golf cart does the work — summer heat sees to that.

What It Feels Like
Small-town coastal. Streets are narrow, some without sidewalks. Golf carts aren't decoration here — they're how the neighborhood moves. On the blocks either side of Alister you can walk to dinner, an after-supper ice cream, or the harbor in minutes; everyone else carts it. It has the feel of a fishing village that's grown but hasn't lost its character.
